One of the most remarkable discoveries midwives made during tests with newborns was the unique absorbency of Cuskiboo. In those precious early days when scent plays a vital role in bonding, Cuskiboo not only carries the mother's scent to the baby but also transfers the baby's scent back to the mother. This mutual exchange helps strengthen the mother-baby bond and can even stimulate the mother’s milk flow, making breastfeeding a little easier.

It is machine washable and retains its comforting softness, wash after wash.
Suitable from birth Cuskiboo has all the qualities a child looks for in a comforter, softness, suckability, sheer lovability and of a course a label to twiddle but unlike a traditional blanket it can be easily replaced if lost or damaged.

Bamboo
Cuskiboo is made lovingly from a special bamboo yarn (rayon made from organically grown bamboo) which has many wonderful properties. It is ultra absorbent, anti-bacterial, and importantly eco-friendly. Bamboo is highly sustainable and grows organically without the need for harmful chemical pesticides or fertilizers. It has a very short growth cycle, is easily cultivated and is totally bio-degradable.

 

Special Instructions for Use:
Keep Cuskiboo close to your skin—either tucked inside your clothing or beside you in bed—for a few days so it can absorb your comforting mummy or daddy scent. Once it’s filled with those familiar smells, introduce it to your baby to help create a naturally soothing and secure environment. Cuskiboo offers gentle reassurance to your little one, giving you a few moments of well-deserved mummy or daddy time

Materials

  • 100% rayon made from organically grown bamboo, with cotton filling in the head
  • The fabric is certified with the Okeo Tex standard showing the fabric has no harmful substances in it
  • Machine washable
  • Warm tumbled dry
  • This fabric is silkier feeling than the original Cuski fabric, however please note it is also more delicate (for example it can snag on the velcro used in Safe T Sleeps!)
  • NOTE: Cuskiboo is a comforter, designed for snuggling and cuddling. It is not a teether! If you baby bites or chews their Cuskiboo, like any fabric it will develop holes over time. Also if your baby sucks on their Cuski, the saliva acid can lead to browning of the fabric over a period of time
Safety Awareness : Please note all babies need monitoring, and especially with items of clothing, muslin squares, toys, comforters, cuddlies & bed linen. Some parents prefer to tie knots in the legs and arms of Cuskis or attach to stroller or cot with babies who are ultra active while sleeping. It is recommended that all tags and labels should be removed from children's comforters, blankets, toys and accessories where possible.
Safe sleep guidelines recommend that no items should be left in the cot over night until around 7 months when baby has good hand/eye/mouth co-ordination. 


Please note, Cuski is a comforter, NOT a teether. If your child decides to chew or suck on the fabric, it will damage/wear. We cannot be held responsible for damage that has occurred to Cuski through chewing or sucking the fabric. Constant chewing and sucking to any fabric/ garment/ soft toy will go into holes/ damage/ fray.

This little item has saved my daughter from tearing her hair out. I bought a cuskiboo for my grandson who is now eight and it helped him go off to sleep as it had my daughters smell on it as she wore it before the baby was born and gave it to him to settle him. Now she has had another little boy, I decided to buy her two Cuskiboos so that if she had to wash one, she still had the other. She did try other comforters before the Cuski arrived, but they were not as effective.

Don’t buy this

The head gets in the way of baby being able to suck the cuski. It takes forever to dry after washing and it’s scary looking. Can’t believe I bought two.

Cuskiboo comforters

Our baby loves his Cuski. We bought two - baby sleeps with one and I sleep with the other and we rotate them every day or two so the Cuski always smells like his mum. It’s great knowing the fabric is breathable so we don’t need to worry about it being over baby’s face.
